Charter Organization Holy Cross Catholic Church, Moorpark, California
Mission To prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law 
Aims Growth in Moral Strength and Character; Participating Citizenship; Development of Physical, Mental and Moral Strength
Methods The Ideals of Scouting; the Patrol Method; the Outdoor Experience; Association with Adults; Personal Growth, Leadership Development; the Uniform
Leadership The Troop is “Boy Led,” under the supervision of the Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters, who are trained in Youth Protection, Health and Safety, and First Aid and CPR.  There is a Troop Committee comprised of Parents who act as a Board of Governors for the Troop
Requirements The program is designed of boys ages 11 through 17.  An exception is made for 10 year olds who have completed the 5th grade
Trail To Eagle We have a total of 26 Eagles Scouts since starting in 1998
Summer Camps Camps Chawanakee, Kern, Whittsett, Cherry Valley, Mataguay, Three Falls
Program The program is designed for the outdoors and to date has included hiking, camping, long-term backpacking, swimming, boating, climbing, and biking to name a few.  It also involves service to the charter organization and the community, e.g. trail work in the national forest
Meetings Weekly; Wednesdays @ 7 - 8:30 pm in the Cosgrove Center of Holy Cross Church
